The Sensazone modular electronic management system controls water flow with solenoid valves and is designed to control up to three 2W 2/2 bi-stable (latching) solenoid valves per washroom area sensor. If motion is detected by the infrared sensor the valves open to supply water to building zones, as required (e.g. washrooms or kitchens). If no movement is detected for a pre-set period (configurable to 15 or 30 minutes), water supply is cut off.
The Sensazone Additional Solenoid Valve Kit allows for installations to be tailored to precisely match building requirements.
Solenoid valves are available in four specification options: 15mm or 22mm (supplied with brass pipe compression fittings with integral isolation valve) and 1″ or 1 1/4″ (plastic-bodied valves, pipe fittings not supplied).
Valves are installed on to the water supply leading to the washroom (hot, cold or rain/grey water) or as close as practically possible to the entry point to suit the pipe layout.
A maximum of 3 valves can be connected to any sensor. Up to 3 valves can be connected in parallel using the “daisy chain” cable provided. The furthest valves should not be more than 10 metres cable length (1.5mm2 CSA) from the sensor.
